Hello, I'm Liz
I believe that body-based and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy are powerful tools to support our healing and transformation. Whether you are hoping to heal from trauma symptoms, address relationship patterns that are not serving you and others, or feeling ready to address an addictive behavior, somatic and psychedelic tools can help you find your way. As your guide, facilitator, and ally in the healing process, I offer tools, reflection, and inquiry to support you in this process of remembering your wholeness. I come from a long line of ministers and pacifists, farming families of Celtic and Germanic origin who were immigrants to this country in the early 18th century. I currently live and work on the traditional lands of the Munsee Esopus peoples.
I hold a doctorate in clinical social work from Smith College where my research focused on integrating body-mind practices, such as Somatic Experiencing®, with virtual, evidenced-based interventions. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and I teach, train and supervise therapists and social workers to integrate somatic trauma resolution interventions and anti-oppressive practice into their clinical work.
